Along with the many visitors centers available in state and national parks and forest areas, other independent centers teach visitors about the natural world and encourage them to speculate about those things yet to be learned. Oregonians enjoy a number of excellent institutions dedicated to furthering scientific research and education. Some of these are listed below.
