Present Duties

The Travel Information Council, doing business as Oregon Travel Experience (OTE), administers the State Highway Logo program, the Tourist Oriented Directional Sign program, and museum signs. OTE also offers signs for the Interstate Oasis program for facilities that provide increased opportunities for stopping to rest, using restroom facilities and obtaining basic services. OTE manages 13 Travel Information kiosks in rest areas, the Travel Plaza program, and administers the Historical Marker and Heritage Tree programs for Oregon. OTE manages five interstate rest areas throughout the state.
